Where do I purchase or pick up my tickets?
If you purchased a ticket online, please check-in to pick up your Tour Wristband at the Hospitality Center 228 Ridgewood Avenue (next to the Glen Ridge Train station). You can purchase a Glen Ridge Kitchen Tour Wristband on the day of the tour, but tickets are limited. We accept cash, checks, Visa/Mastercard and Venmo.
What does my ticket include?
You will receive your wristband and a complimentary tote bag that includes a bottle of water, booklet with a tour map inside, various kitchen items, and reusable shoe coverings ("booties") to help keep floors protected. We are expecting nearly 400 visitors today, plus volunteers!
Are children allowed?
Children over the age of 12 are allowed to attend.
Who will benefit from this tour?
The proceeds of this year’s Gourmet Kitchen Tour will be used to benefit the Glen Ridge School District and accelerate forward-thinking, future-ready focus on teaching and learning.
Where can I find a tour map?
The Resource Directory! Our booklet includes kitchen profiles, photos, information about Glen Ridge, advertisements from our generous supporters, and most importantly, the Tour Map.
Is there a digital map?
A google Tour Map will be available on the day of the tour on this website.
Where can I find parking?
You can park at the Glen Ridge High School parking lot at 200 Ridgewood Avenue, next to the Train Station.
Is there a shuttle service to the kitchens?
Yes! We will provide shuttle service, the Glen Ridge "Jitney" from the Train Station in a loop around town all day. Relax and be transported to the kitchens without losing time parking on the street near each home.
Can I drive instead of using the Jitney?
You can choose to ride the Jitney or feel free to drive or walk to several kitchens. This year, there are a few homes "clustered" together, and when you see them on the map, you will be pleased to see you can park once and visit a couple of them from the same parking spot. Just serendipity!
What if it rains?
The kitchen tour will be on, rain or shine.
Where are the restroom facilities located?
Please feel free to use the restrooms at he Train Station as needed throughout the day. Please do not request to use homeowners’ bathrooms.
Is there food served during the tour?
You will be enjoying food samples in each kitchens; however, please also drop in for more quick bites at the Train Station. Snacks will be provided by a variety of local eateries.
Where do we buy raffle tickets?
This year we have fabulous Door Prize Baskets, an incredible door prize Miele Coffee Machine, and a 50/50 Raffle. Tickets for the 50/50 will be on sale at the Train Station, and our drawing for Door Prizes and 50/50 will take place at the Train Station at 4:15 p.m. Winner need not be present to win if your phone number is recorded on your ticket entry.
Is there anything else for purchase during the Tour?
Food and beverages will be available at the Train Station, and Kitchen Tour items will also be available for purchase.
